The number of people who started Modern Apprenticeships (MA) in Scotland has gone up and now stands at 27,145 and aims to be at 30,000 by 2020.  Nearly 25% of the Modern Apprenticeship starts were from the most deprived areas of Scotland. 61% of MA starts are male. 20,309 (78%) people completed their Modern Apprenticeship.
